This science fair project was performed to find out if memory retention can be improved by linking facts with a story. It is intended to show that students can improve their memory retention by applying some simple techniques. | ||

1. For this science fair project, the independent variable is the 10 animal names on the flash cards and the story containing 10 animal names. The dependent variable is the ability of the children to remember the names of the animals. This is determined by asking the children to write down the animal names that they can remember.
