Procedure

Part I

  1. Have a participant get into a relaxed state. They may want to lie down or sit in a comfortable chair.
  2. Take the participant?s blood pressure
  3. Record the information on the data sheet. This score will serve as a baseline to compare the blood pressure levels after playing.
  4. Allow the participant to play one video game without being tested. This will allow participant to get use to the game and the experimental setting.
  5. After the second game, take the participant?s blood pressure.
  6. Record this information in the data sheet.
  7. Repeat this process with the remaining participants.

Part II

  1. After each participant has been tested, repeat the experiment with participants playing in pairs, so that they are competing against each other.
  2. How do the participants blood pressure levels compare with their baseline?
  3. Form a conclusion to the experiment's findings.
