.mod.uk is part of the .uk Domain Name System.
It is for the use of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force and related services. It is operated by the MOD. The naming rules are not published, and registrations are not available to the public. It is, in effect, the UK version of .mil which is reserved for the US Department of Defense.
