1349 (band)
1349 is a black metal band hailing from Norway. The group was formed in 1997 when the band Alvheim broke up and several members sought to create a new black metal band. 1349 has received an unusual amount of attention due to the membership of the well-known black metal drummer Frost of Satyricon. The name 1349 was chosen by the band because it is the year the black death was spread to Norway.
