2000 African Nations Cup
The 2000 African Nations Cup was the 22nd edition of the African Nations Cup, the soccer championship of Africa (CAF). It was co-hosted by Ghana and Nigeria, both replacing original host Zimbabwe. Just like in 1998, the field of sixteen teams was split into four groups of four. Cameroon won its third championship, beating Nigeria on penalty kicks 4-3 after tying them in the final 2-2.
