30 Seconds To Fame

30 Seconds To Fame was an American television series, featuring a talent show where acts could only last 30 seconds maximum. The series was hosted by Craig J. Jackson .

Many different talents were exhibited, such as contortionism, juggling, magic tricks, stand-up comedy, and beatboxing. Much of the charm of the show is derived from the fact that each act is only 30 seconds long, so the talents exhibited are constantly changing.

The live audience act as the judges. During the performances, if an act is very bad, the audience can use electronic devices to put in a vote for elimation. If enough people do so, the act will be cut short. At the end of the show, every member of the audience votes for his or her favourite act, and the top three get a chance to do another 30 second act. After this, a final round of voting happens, and the winner earns a cash prize.

The series currently aired on SABC.

30 Seconds To Fame also had a South African adaptation, aired on SABC.
