A. J. Levin
A. J. Levin (born 1973) is a Canadian poet. He was born Adam Jacob Levin, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He moved to Montreal, Quebec, then Toronto, Ontario. He received an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto, lived briefly in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, and then took an M.Phil. at the University of Oxford.
He returned to Toronto in 1999, after a year as Junior Dean of St Cross College, Oxford. He worked as an editor at McClelland and Stewart between 2001 and 2003. His first book was nominated for the League of Canadian Poets ' 2005 Gerald Lampert Award.
