ARINC
ARINC 424 is a international standard file format for aircraft navigation data. See [1].
ARINC Incorporated was founded as Aeronautical Radio, Inc. in 1929 by four U.S. airlines to standardize airline radio communication.
In the 1950s, ARINC developed the science of reliability analysis.
ARINC developed the ACARS® data link between airports and civilian aircraft.
ARINC has installed computer data networks in police cars and railroad cars.
ARINC maintains the standards for line-replaceable units.
