A City With No People

A City With No People is a fictional book mentioned in the Chobits 4 book (ISBN 1591820073).

A City With No People is a book within a book, akin to Shakespeare's play within a play. The story of A City With No People closely parallels that of the main characters of the manga and anime Chobits, and is written in the story by Hibiya Chitose.

A City With No People tells the story of a city where all of the lights are on, but no one is in the streets. The people are all inside with their loved ones. Over the course of several internal books spanning the entire Chobits story, the narrator reveals the nature of the Persocoms, and their relationship with the people. It then goes on to tell about the Person Just For Me, which the narrator is looking for, as a darkened mirror image provides the voice of doubt.

The narrator represents Chii, the mirror image represents the Dark Chii (Freiya), and the star represents the Person Just For Me (Hideki).
