A Goofy Movie

A Goofy Movie is a 1995 animated feature, produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation Paris and released to theatres by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution, featuring the characters from the Disney Afternoon television series Goof Troop.

Goofy takes his son Max, who is now a teenager, on a vacation against his will. In order to keep his new girlfriend Roxanne from going to a house party with another guy, he lies and says that he is going to see a concert headlined by pop music star Powerline (modeled after Bobby Brown and Michael Jackson, and voiced by Tevin Campbell). Max therefore has to devise a way to get Goofy to take him to the concert, instead of to Goofy's destination of Lake Destiny, Idaho.

Other familiar characters in A Goofy Movie include Pete and his son P.J., and new characters include Roxanne's best friend Stacy and max's buddy Bobby Zimmeruski, who has a strange love for cheese from aerosol cans.

A Goofy Movie has a direct-to-video sequel, An Extremely Goofy Movie, which was released in 2000.
