Academy Award for Engineering Effects
The Academy Award for Engineering Effects was just a little ahead of its time. Sound Recording awards began two years later. Scientific and Technical awards began three years later, and eventually several other awards evolved to recognize many of the behind-the-scenes efforts required to make a movie a success.
