Acceptance angle
In optical fibers the acceptance angle θ is the half-angle of the cone within which incident light is totally internally reflected by the fiber core. It is equal to arcsin(NA), where NA is the numerical aperture of the fiber.
θ = arcsin(NA).
Acceptance angle of a fiber is the maximum angle the ray may make with the axis and still propagate down the fiber by total internal reflection . (by CR)
