Acrylate
Acrylate monomers are esters that contain vinyl groups, that is, two carbon atoms double bonded to each other, directly attached to the carbonyl carbon. Methacrylates have an extra methyl group attached to the alpha carbon. Polyacrylates are a common group of plastics.
Acrylamide is an acrylate with an amide group.
