Ademilton dos Santos
Ademilton dos Santos (born January 19 2005 in Cajazeiras, Brazil) is a baby that weighed 7.7 kg (17 lb) upon his birth, making him the heaviest baby ever born in Brazil. His 38-year-old mother has diabetes, which commonly causes women to give birth to larger babies.
As of January 20 2005, Ademilton is receiving oxygen due to breathing problems and is being supplied intravenously with glucose to keep his blood sugar level within safe parameters.
