Adolf Born
Adolf Born is a Czech painter and illustrator, caricaturist and film-maker.
Adolf Born was born on June 12, 1930 in the town of České Velenice on the Czech-Austrian border. During 1949-1950, Born studied Visual Art Education at the Pedagogical Faculty of the Charles University in Prague. Since the 1960s his works have been exhibited all over the world. In 1974 Born was awarded a prestigious Grand Prix prize in Montreal.
He made many ex libris, mostly by the technique of colour lithography. His pictures often mix fantasy worlds, people and animals.
