Adolf Stoecker
Adolf Stoecker (December 11 1835 - February 2 1909) was an anti-semitic German theologian and politician.
Stoecker was born in Halberstadt, Prussia (now in Germany).
In 1878, Stoecker founded the Christian Social Workers' Party to rival the Social Democratic Party of Germany. As a Christian-only organization, he used the party to attack Jews, accusing them of dominating the press. Stoecker proposed severely limiting the civil rights of Jews in Germany. He engaged in severe political antisemitism.
Stoecker died on February 2, 1909 in Bozen Gries, Germany .
