Al Unser

Al Unser (born May 29, 1939) is a former U.S. automobile racer. He is the younger brother of Bobby Unser and father of Al Unser, Jr.. He is one of three people to have won the Indianapolis 500 four times and is the only person to have both a sibling (Bobby) and child (Al Jr.) who have also won the race.

Unser has led 646 laps at the Indianapolis 500. As of 2005 this is the most of any driver. Unser is also one of five drivers to win consecutive 500's.

Unser also won the Champcar championship in 1970 and 1983.

In 1998, he was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame.
