Alan Burns


Alan Burns is a professor at, and head of, the University of York Computer Science Department. He has hundreds of publications, with a large proportion of them concentrating on real time systems and the Ada programming language.

In February 2005 Alan controversially removed his beard, causing an outcry from the department's students.
