Albert Pollard
Albert Frederick Pollard was a British historian who specialized in the Tudor period. He was born on the Isle of Wight on December 16, 1869, and died on August 3, 1948, at Milford-on-Sea .
Pollard studied and wrote about the history of the Tudors from a political viewpoint. He was also assistant editor of the Dictionary of National Biography from 1893, and contributed many articles. Later in his career, he was a major force in establishing history as an academic subject in Britain.
