Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport

Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (IATA airport code CLO) is an airport in Cali, Colombia.

The airport has one runway, 9,842 feet in length. This runway is paved, and at an elevation of 3,162 feet.

Alfonso Bonilla Aragón is located in a long, narrow valley that runs from north to south, and is surrounded by mountains up to 14,000 feet high. This makes landing at the airport notoriously difficult, and has led to many accidents. In 1996, American Airlines Flight 965 crashed into these mountains during descent.

Unlike some airports in Latin America, which are not always open, Alfonso Bonilla Aragón is open 24 hours a day.

There is one cargo terminal at the airport.

Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport can serve aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 747.
