Alpha strike
Alpha strike is a term used in the collectable card game Magic: The Gathering. It refers to an attack with all creatures available for combat. Since this action leaves the attacker without any defense, it is only rarely performed.
The term comes from the computer game MechWarrior, where it describes the firing all of the player's weapons simultaneously.
