Alvin Olin King
Alvin Olin King (June 21, 1890 – 1958) was a Louisiana politician.
King was born in Leoti, Kansas. He attended Tulane Law School and began the practice of law. King was elected state senator and rose to president pro tempore of that body. When Huey Long left the governorship for a seat in the U.S. Senate, King replaced him as governor for the remainder of the term. After leaving office, King reverted to his legal profession. Before his death in January 1958, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, King had become President of the Louisiana Bar Association. By political affiliation, he was a democrat: by religion, a methodist.
