Amber Brkich

Amber Brkich (born August 11, 1978) is the winner of Survivor: All-Stars, and was a contestant on Survivor: The Australian Outback. On May 9, 2004, she accepted fellow All-Stars competitor Rob Mariano's proposal of marriage on live television and is planning to televise their wedding.

As a couple, Brkich and Mariano have subsequently participated in the seventh season of The Amazing Race.

Born in Beaver, Pennsylvania, she has worked as an administrative assistant. After appearing in Survivor: The Australian Outback, she briefly worked as the host of an adventure travel game on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

As a youth, Brkich went to Beaver Area High School, and then to Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at Westminster, of which she was vice president and new member coordinator. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations with a minor in speech communications.

Brkich is a member of the Catholic Church. Her surname is Croatian (Brkić).

On April 16 2005 Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich were married in a private ceremony in the Bahamas. The U.S. television network CBS will air a 2 hour special about the wedding in May of 2005. [1]
