Amel
Amel (French: Amblève) is a municipality in the Belgian province of Liège, and is part of the Deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft Belgien.
On January 1 2004 Amel had a total population of 5,244 (2,668 males and 2,576 females). The total area is 125.15 km² which gives a population density of 41.90 inhabitants per km². There are seventeen villages in Amel: Schoppen, Stephanshof, Iveldingen, Eibertingen, Montenau, Born, Deidenberg, Medell, Möderscheid, Hepscheid, Heppenbach, Halenfeld, Mirfeld, Valender, Wereth, Meyerode, and Herresbach.
