American Dragon: Jake Long

American Dragon: Jake Long is a animated television show on Disney Channel.

Jake Long is an average thirteen-year-old one Chinese-American boy living in New York City... except for the fact that he can transform into a mystical dragon. A descendant of a long line of dragons, it is his duty to protect the community of magical creatures secretly living among the masses in New York.

Jake's life takes madcap twists and turns as he juggles all the social hurdles of teenage years with his secret training to become the American Dragon, a regimen guided by his recently immigrated grandfather Lao Shi, and Grandpa's unique friend, a gruff 600-year-old magical Shar-Pei named Fu Dog.

American Dragon: Jake Long was created by Jeff Goode, who also created the hit MTV series Undressed. Disney has ordered an initial 24 episodes for the first season. It was first aired in January 2005. It currently appears on Friday at 5:00 PM for new episodes.
