Amy Adams

Amy Adams (born July 25, 1979) is an American singer, one of the finalists on the third season of the reality/talent-search television series American Idol.

Adams was born in Bakersfield, California, where she still resides and works as a professional makeup artist. Adams auditioned for the third season of American Idol in Atlanta, Georgia and was a member of the third group of semifinalists.

Despite a rousing rendition of the Dixie Chicks' "Sin Wagon " during the second week, on March 31, 2004, Adams became the third of the 12 finalists to be voted off the show.

Simon Cowell notoriously said on the show that Adams reminded him of Jay Leno.
