Amy Elizabeth Imrie
Amy Eliazabeth Imrie nee Pollard. born Guiana 1870. died Looe, Cornwall 1944. She was adopted by William Imrie the co-owner of the White Star Line shipping. On his death in 1906 she was his sole heir. In 1907 she became Sister Mary Clare in the Order of Poor Clares. In 1910 she funded the building of St Mary of the Angels in Liverpool.
