An-Nasr
The 110th Sura of the Qur'an. Al-Nasr translates to English as "The Help."
- In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful.
- When comes the help of God, and victory,
- and thou dost see the people enter God's religion in crowds,
- Celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and pray for his forgiveness: For he is oft-returning (in grace and mercy).
Abdullah Yusuf Ali's commentary: "This beautiful Sura was the last to be revealed as a whole. The date of this Sura was only a few months before the passing away of the Holy Prophet from this world. Victory in the crown of service, not an occasion for exultation. All victory comes from the help of God."
