Anchorhead

Anchorhead is a fictional settlement located on the planet Tatooine in the Star Wars universe. It is a few miles east of Lar's Homestead, south of the bustling spaceport of Mos Eisley, and primarly consists of moisture farmers .

In Star Wars: A New Hope, Luke asks his Uncle Owen Lars if he can see some of his friends there. In a deleted scene, Luke can be seen there with Biggs Darklighter, who would fight along side Luke in the Battle of Yavin.

In the LucasArts game Star Wars Galaxies, Anchorhead is described as a town in which those sympathetic to the Rebels can walk out in the open, and noted that "If there was any town on Tatooine that was the farthest from Imperial rule, Anchorhead would be the one."

Anchorhead also appeared in the LucasArts video game Knights of the Old Republic, where Anchorhead was the Tatooine landing side for the player's ship, the Ebon Hawk. Anchorhead was depicted as an early mining community and hunting station. It was run by the popular Czerka Corporation and was famous for hunting wraids , swoop racing and mining. The mining operation, however, was not going too well, since Tatooine actually didn't have anything worth mining and the Sand People often terrorized mining activity, discouraging miners. Unknown to the residents, however a Star Map lay in a nearby Krayt Dragon inhabited cave.
