Anders Björgerd

Anders Björgerd (born in November 1920) was deputy CEO of Sweden's second largest utility, Sydkraft AB, between the years 1970-1987. He started his career as a trainee with Siemens AG, and later gained employment with Swedish engineering firm ASEA before embarking on his career path with Sydkraft in Malmö, Sweden.

His father, Teodor Jonsson, also began his professional career a field engineer for the Swedish utility then called Sydsvenska Kraftaktiebolaget . In the late 1920's, he changed his surname to Björgerd.

Björgerd also served as Chairman of the Board for Sydgas AB , a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sydkraft and one of Scandinavia's largest suppliers of LPG. He was also one of the original founders of Swedpower AB, Sweden's largest energy consultancy firm (now a wholly owned subsidiary of Vattenfall).

He also served as Chairman of one of the national state pension funds, 5:e AP Fonden (now 3:e AP Fonden), and was also a member of the Advisory Board of the Swedish Energy Commission.
