André Campra
André Campra (December 4, 1660 - June 29, 1744) was a French composer and conductor.
He was conductor at the cathedrals at Toulon and Arles before becoming conductor at the Notre-Dame de Paris. He resigned to become a full-time composer and wrote more than 20 operas, including L'Europe Galante , Le Carnaval de Venise , Idomenee and Rigaudon , and numerous cantatas, and motets.
