Antec
Antec is an American manufacturer of computer components.
The company was founded in 1986 in Fremont, California, and is best known for its range of PC cases and power supplies, which are reputedly quieter in operation (although higher in price) than competitors' products.
Cases
Antec is well known amongst DIY computer builders for providing high quality computer cases that are easy to work on. Antec case models include Lifestyle Series, Lanboy, Performance One, Performance Plus and Solution Series.
- Lifestyle cases include the small footprint cases such as the cubes as well as the award winning Sonata case. The Sonata model is Antec's most popular brand.
- Lanboy cases are designed to be portable gaming machines. They are made of aluminum and have blue LEDs inside the power supply.
- Performance One cases are also made of aluminum and are designed for performance. Performance Plus is the same model as Perforamnce One except with a TruePower power supply.
- Solution Series is Antec's budget cases. They did not include the cooling or other features of the higher models. Models can come with or without a powersupply.
Power Supplies
Antec is also a leading manufacturer of power supplies as well as cases. Antec's power supply models include the Truepower, Trueblue, and Neopower (480w only).
