Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003
The Anti-Social Behaviour Act is a law in the United Kingdom. This bill, championed by home secretary David Blunkett, passed in 2003. As well as creating the anti-social behaviour order and banning spray paint sales to people under the age of 16, it gives local councils the power to order the removal of graffiti from private property.
Should you want to keep a piece of graffiti on your property you are now granted two weeks to convince a table of magistrates that it is not "detrimental to the amenity of the area".
