Art Cross
Art Cross (January 24 1918, Jersey City, NJ - April 15, 2005, La Porte, Indiana) was a racing driver from the United States.
He participated in 4 editions of the Indy 500 at a time when the race was also valid for the Formula 1 World Championship, being awarded Rookie of the Year in 1952 (first year of the prize) after a fifth place and achieving second place the following year.
After retiring from racing, he turned his attention to running the farm in La Porte he had bought with the prize money from the Indy 500 and later became involved in a heavy equipment business and in construction.
