Arthur (magazine)
Arthur is a collaboration between music editors Laris Kreslins and Jay Babcock , dedicated to being one step ahead of hipster music fads. The publication has a serious love for noise music, stoner rock and other types of psychedelia, and counts Thurston Moore as a contributor.
It reviews nearly everything from Load Records.
Previous to creating Arthur, Kreslins created the popular music journals Sound Collector and Audio Review . Babcock is a contributor to Mojo Magazine and the LA Weekly . True to its East Coast roots, Arthur is more hifi and professional than its contemporaries the twangy Dead Angel of Texas and the prairie-style Blastitude of Omaha/Chicago.
