Arthur Farnsworth
Arthur Farnsworth (born 1952) is an American politician and township auditor for West Rockhill .
Farnsworth received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Widener University and a master's degree in engineering science from Penn State.
Farnsworth ran as a candidate for the United states House of Representatives in the 2004 election and is serving (as of 2004) as the treasurer of the Pennsylvania Libertarian Party .
In November 2004 Farnsworth was arrested on charges of evading $87,000 in federal income taxes. On the campaign trail Farnsworth advocated his beliefs that the federal law leaves the decision to pay taxes to individuals. A federal grand jury alleged the electrical engineer failed to pay taxes for three years on more than $221,000 in income and tried to conceal his earnings by transferring assets to fraudulent trusts and overseas bank accounts.
Farnsworth drew close to 4,000 votes in his bid for a House seat.
