Artificial photosynthesis
Artificial photosynthesis is a man-made process that attempts to replicate the natural process of photosynthesis, converting sunlight and carbon dioxide into carbohydrates and oxygen or . It has been suggested that such a process replicated on an industrial scale could help to counter global warming. Using sunlight to split water into hydrogen helps making the hydrogen economy become a reality, see water splitting.
