Artscroll transliteration

The Artscroll transliteration is the compromise that the American-Jewish publisher Artscroll (an imprint of Mesorah publications ltd.) came up with for transliterating Hebrew into English. They generally use Ashkenazi consonants and Sephardi (adopted by Israel) vowels.

The primary difference between Sefardi and Ashkenazi consonants is that the sefardi pronunciation of the letter Taf without a vowel point is Taf, while the Ashkenazi pronunciation is Saf.

The primary difference in vowel pronunciation is that the vowel kommatz is pronounced ah by Sefardim and uh by Ashkenazim.

As such you would have the following transliterations:

Ashkenazi Sefardi Artscroll
Boruch Baruch Baruch
Shabbos Shabbat Shabbos
Succos Succot Succos
Avrohom Avraham Avraham
