Artur Ekert
Artur Ekert (born 19 September 1961 in Wroclaw) is a Leigh-Trapnell Professor of Quantum Physics at Cambridge University. He is one of the pioneers of quantum cryptography. For his work on entanglement based quantum key distribution he was awarded the 1995 Maxwell Medal and Prize of the Institute of Physics. He is also a co-recipient of the 2004 EU Descartes Prize.
