Ascot is a large village in the English county of Berkshire.

Ascot is most famous as the location of Ascot Racecourse, home of the prestigious Royal Ascot meeting. It is also home to the Silwood Park campus of Imperial College London, where CONSORT , a small nuclear reactor for civilian scientific research, has been in use since 1964.

Ascot has a station on the electric railway line from London's Waterloo station to Reading, originally built by the London and South Western Railway and now operated by South West Trains. As a consequence of the frequent service on this line, Ascot is now a commuter centre with its residents in both direction (westwards to Reading and eastwards to London).
