Ashraf Jehangir Qazi
Ashraf Jehangir Qazi is a Pakistani diplomat.
Appointed on July 12, 2004 by Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations, to be his Special Representative to Iraq. (Replacing Sergio Vieira de Mello who was killed in the August 19, 2003 bombing of the UN Office in Baghdad)
Prior to this posting Ambassador Qazi served as Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States (2002-2004), High Commissioner to India (1997-2002), Ambassador to China (1994-1997), Russia (1991-1994), East Germany (1990-1991) and Syria (1986-1988).
