Asia Carrera

Asia Carrera (born Jessica Steinhauser August 6, 1973) is an adult film star. She entered the profession in 1993, and announced her retirement at the end of 2003.

She was born to a Japanese father and a German mother. She remarks that with her appearance, she can be mistaken for almost any ethnicity.

She studied piano as a child, and had performed at Carnegie Hall twice before the age of 15. When she was 16, she ran away from home because she felt her parents put too much academic pressure on her. She claims to have had her IQ tested at 155, and is a member of Mensa, the only one to have worked as an adult actress.[1]

She married adult film director Bud Lee on February 27 1995, and later divorced on September 29 2003 after a long separation.

Following the common practice for adult film actresses, the name "Asia Carrera" is a pseudonym used to hide the actress's legal name. According to interviews, she got the name from actress Tia Carrere, intentionally misspelling it for legal reasons.

Describing herself as "the nerd of porn," Asia has an active presence on the Internet. She proudly proclaims that she created her own website, including writing the code and editing the pictures. Asia is also a self confessed Corvette fan, but traded hers in at the onset of starting a family

Asia married nutritionist and author Don Lemmon on December 19, 2003. They now live in St. George, Utah and have a daughter Catalina, born on March 4, 2005.
