Astronomical algorithm
Astronomical algorithms are the algorithms used to calculate ephemerides, calendars, and (when navigating by the heavens) position. Among the largest and most complex of these algorithms are those used to calculate the position of the Moon. A simple one is the calculation of the Julian day.
