Asymptotically flat spacetime
An asymptotically flat spacetime is a spacetime in which the metric approaches the Minkowski metric very far from the gravitating object.
An example of an asymptotically flat spacetime is the Schwarzschild solution. Not all spacetimes are asymptotically flat.
