Athena (video game)
Athena is a video game for the arcade, and later ported to the NES produced and published in 1987 by software developer company SNK. Only the NES version has been released in North America.
The game's title character would later go on to appear in the game Psycho Soldier . She along with the character Kensou from Psycho Soldier would appear as a team in The King of Fighters series, and has appeared in every game in the series so far. She also appeared in Capcom vs SNK 2 and SVC Chaos - SNK Vs. Capcom . In The King of Fighters and Capcom vs SNK 2, she was based off of her appearance in Psycho Soldier; in SVC Chaos - SNK Vs. Capcom, she was based off of her appearance in her original game.
