Augusta Viktoria, Duchess of Schleswig-Holstein
Auguste Viktoria, Duchess of Schleswig-Holstein (Victoria Augustus) (1858-1921), German Empress, daughter of Frederick, Duke of Augustenberg ; married (1881) to Wilhelm II of Germany, and accompanied him into the Netherlands after World War I. She is reputed of being a woman who loved the arts, she even composed music in her clarinet. She died without ever pursuing her lifelong dream of visiting the Louvre, in Paris.
Empress Augusta gave birth to seven children by Wilhelm II:
- Crown Prince Wilhelm of Germany (1882-1951).
- Prince Joachim
- Prince Eitel Friederich
- Prince Adalbert
- Prince Augustus Wilhelm
- Prince Oskar
- Princess Viktoria Luise
