Austria sent 101 athletes to the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. It is the 24th time the country participates in the Summer Olympics, previous times being 1896, 1900, 1904, 1908, 1912, 1924, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000. The country also participated in 19 Winter Olympics.

Athletics

Women's 100 metres:

Austria entered one competitor in each of the men's and women's divisions of the individual kayak slalom event. Both qualified for the semifinals, but in that race neither was among the top ten that advanced to the final.
