Auxiliaries
The term auxiliaries comes from latin auxilia, name for troops supporting Roman legions.
Later it has also been used for groups like British soldiers in the Anglo-Irish War who became famous for their brutality.
Auxiliaries can also be used to refer to Auxiliary verbs in linguistic contexts.
