Avni Arbas
Avni Arbaş (Istanbul, 1919 - Izmir, 2003) was a Turkish artist best known for his paintings taking their subjects from the daily life, Turkish war of independence , Bosphorus, fishermen, horses and the nature. He died of cancer on October 16, 2003.
His granddaughter Derya Arbaş (35), a talented Turkish actress, died of a heart attack on October 22, 2003.
