Ayakashi sisters

In the fiction of Sailor Moon, the Ayakashi sisters ("Ayakashi no Yon Shimai") are four villains from the Black Moon. They appear only in the Sailor Moon R series. Like most villains in the series, the four wierd sisters are named after minerals or metals.


They are eventually turned good by Sailor Moon's crystal.

Kōan

Kōan (Cooan) is the youngest of the sisters with the attack called "dark fire". Her name is the Japanese word for Kermesite . She was voiced by Yamazaki Wakana in Japanese. In the English adaptation, she is renamed Catsy and is voiced by Alice Poon and Mary Long .

Berthier

Berthier (Beruche) is the third oldest, named for the mineral Berthierite which was in turn named after French geologist Pierre Berthier. Her magical attack is called "dark water". In the Japanese anime she is voiced by Yuri Amano. In the English adaptation she is renamed Birdy and is voiced by Kathleen Laskey.

Calaveras

Calaveras (Karaberas) is the second oldest of the sisters using a whip as her weapon She is named for the mineral Calaverite. In Japanese, she is voiced by Hiramatsu Akiko. In the English adaptation, she is renamed Avery and is voiced by Jennifer Griffiths.

Petz

Petz is the oldest of the three sisters with the magical power called "dark thunder". In Japanese, Petz is voiced by Megumi Ogata, more famously known as the voice of Sailor Uranus and Neon Genesis Evangelion's Ikari Shinji. In the English adaptation, she is renamed Prisma and is voiced by Norma Dell'Agnese.
